It's sixteen years today that dougs bought me from a stall in Covent Garden (which is still there, go and look). This means that all sorts of naughtiness are now legal for me in the UK.

New readers start here: I was instructed by the LJ abuse team to cease using the icon I've used for this post as my default, so I replied to them asking whether the picture I've reproduced on the left here was in order.

Who would make a better window-washer, adela_terrell or lostcarpark?: I think it would be her rather than him. I think she secretly enjoys cleaning stuff.
What hobby do you think adelheid should take up?: I don't think what she's studying really counts as a hobby.
What's up with cardboard_giles?: He reads -- and owns -- too many books.
What was swisstone wearing, the last time you noticed?: I haven't seen him for a long time. Douglas says he was wearing a t-shirt on Monday. He says it was very good, but he can't remember what it says.
How would persnickitybear survive on a desert island?: We bears are very resourceful and very hardy. We all do very well in the wild.

A tent. That's interesting. In the rain, too.

Spare rooms, I've done. Hotel rooms, certainly. Bits of floor in someone's living room or office, every now and then.

But a tent? A rare treat, this. Doesn't happen very often. Last time, it was a nasty, smelly, leaky, very old thing that weighed three quarters of a ton. This time, it's much better -- roomy, clean, dry, and according to Himself it only weighs about four pounds. Tent technology has moved on.

Lots of dark and interesting people about, but very little by way of outrageous drunkenness. Ah well.

A weekend with Tedward

I went to Croydon yesterday, which is where tedward_bear lives now. dougs was going to a party which flickgc was running and he took me along.

I spent all evening on the sofa with Tedward watching everyone except the two of us get drunk. Some of them got very drunk, and one or two got very very drunk indeed.

And then Tedward went off to sleep with Flick and I ended up sleeping with Douglas again. Ah well.

We had a big hug before we left the next morning, though. That was good.

It's too long between visits.
